This course offers flat, fast terrain while also having soft surface. The race runs along the Catskill Scenic Trail which is cinder and grass. The footing is solid and the scenery is beautiful!
This picturesque course follows the Catskill Mountain Scenic Trail from Bloomville, NY to Stamford, NY. A former railroad bed, the trail offers soft surface running on a mixture of cinders and grass with minimal changes in elevation. Some road crossings are necessary.
The trail offers a great soft-surface option for a fast half-marathon. For those that are not up to the full challenge of a half-marathon, there is a relay race along the same course. Get together with a few friends and run it together.
