Lowrystar 5k 10k

Run through historic Lowry Airforce Base. We offer 12 different age groups with awards to the top 3 runners. You can run, walk or race on a very flat course through the converted Community Colleges of Colorado Campus at Lowry with professional photography by the Colorado Film School. We have an elite race with prize money in the 10k run.

Anyone can register to race, run, or walk the Lowrystar 10k 5k and kids may run in the 3k. The early registration cost is $25. That includes a t-shirt, the run event, your race bib with your disposable chip, a race packet with some cool discount coupons. The cost to

Registration after midnight June 14th is $30. This is the regular registration period and all of the things in the early registration packet will be in this one . On July 15th the late registration kicks in and it will be $35. Starting on August 14th at midnight you will be entering as a extremely late registrant and that is $40. After that time we cannot guarantee a Race shirt at the start line. Race day is $45. Race day registration begins at 6:30 a.m. On the online registration form you have an option to upgrade to a wick-dry poly high performance shirt when paying or to opt out of the t-shirt all together.

 

 

Packet, race bib T-shirt pickup will begin on August 15th. Save yourself some hassle on the morning of the race. Pick up your packet at one of the designated places throughout the city. There will be some cool discounts in your packet and a schedule of events. Do not exchange your Race number with anyone as it includes a chip that has access to your account and is programmed with a chip that is dedicated to you, your gender, your age and will produce false information on line.

 

 

The Lowrystar 10k run is a 6.2 mile race, run or walk. It begins in the old lowry air force base part of which has now been converted to a campus for the Community Colleges of Colorado. We will be registering and handing out runner packets at the Film school on the corner of Yosemite and Lowry Blvd.  For directions click on the icon to the left.

 

 

 

The start of all races are on 7th place in front of the track. The start will be a mass start but can be a wave start if registration exceeds 500 runners in any race. The first 1/2 mile of the race is straight, flat and wide. It loops around so that you will be visible to fans, friends and family

 

 

 

Parking is limited to the number of spaces that we purchase and no more. We will include free parking anyone registered prior to July 1st OR for the first 200 runners registered in each event. The Closest parking to the start will go to the earliest registered runners. So register early and get prime parking. Race day parking will be $10.There sill be some parking in Great Lawn Park and on the streets but it will go fast and we cannot guarantee you will or will not be ticketed. So register early and get your designated parking space near the start and the festivities.

I am very exciting to announce that the film school will be participating in a quality video production of the run. This 10-15 min movie will cost $15 and will be available on race day. Give them 2 hours after the kids run to pick it up. It will also be available on download also. We will have a condensed lower resolution version right away on the website.

 

 

In the 10k Race, Run, Walk there will be 10 age groups in both men’s and women’s divisions.

The finish line will be at end of the road leading into the parking lot of the film school and also will have the booth and sponsor spaces there along with water and electrolyte replacement fluids.

 

 

 

Race medals and trophies will be handed out at the band stage at the booth area

 

 

The Corporate team race is a low score, count 5 runners . There is two divisions  in both the 5k and the 10k. Your chip will allow us to tabulate and allow you to see the results unfold in real time.
