Join the GEST Foundation to celebrate cancer survivors and remember loved ones no longer with us. Money raised will fund grants to allow cancer patients the opportunity to focus on healing.
The mission of the GEST Foundation is to make a difference in the lives of those diagnosed with cancer during their journey to recovery by providing emotional, spiritual, and financial support. The inaugural Reign Over Cancer Walk, or ROC Walk, will raise funds to provide grants to cancer patients to purchase services to help while recovering from surgery, including grocery delivery, transportation to and from post-op medical appointments and treatments, and personal caregivers to assist with daily activities.
The 1st Annual ROC Walk will be held at Cane Island
on Sunday, February 25, 2018. Walk Day registration and Packet Pickup will open at 12:00 p.m. and the walk will begin at 2:00 p.m. Walkers will start at the Cane Island Welcome Center and travel south on Cane Island Parkway, u-turning at the front entrance, and then walking back to the Welcome Center. The total walking distance is approximately 1 mile. Participants are welcome to make a double loop for a longer walk distance.
After the walk, stay for the after party, featuring free food and drinks. Fun games and activities will be on-site for the kiddos. The ROC Walk will be fun for all ages!
