Jefferson County FIREWORKS Fundraiser!!!

For the last several years, a volunteer group of private citizens has raised the money to host the annual fireworks display on the 4th of July weekend. They have decided to pass the baton. Jefferson County Parks and Recreation is excited to bring this fantastic, family-friendly event to the Eastern Panhandle. We cannot do it without you!

The cost of the event is expected to top $25,000 this year. We have pledged $8000 (plus park space, staffing, vendor scheduling, trash removal, picnic tables and more) to the Fireworks Event. This money will be raised from programs and special events. We will ask the other area Parks and Rec departments for support, as well as local businesses and private citizens.  We will not reach the goal without significant donations and fund raising efforts. No county tax money has been reserved for this event. It is funded with 100% business/citizen/parks and rec support.
