Heroes Run

Heroes Run event is Saturday, April 18 from 8 a.m. - 12 noon RACE START/END TIME: 8:30–9:30 a.m. PACKET PICKUP: TBA OR ONSITE PACKET PICKUP: Saturday, April 18 from 7:00-8 a.m. LOCATION: Mountain View College, 4849 W. Illinois Ave., Dallas, TX 75211



The annual Heroes Run 5K honors police, fire, EMT and military personnel for “choosing” to serve and dedicate their lives to being the first in and last out of any dangerous situation. A family event, the Heroes Run will offer activities to engage and educate participants about safety as well as honor first responders and military personnel while supporting DCCCD students who suffer from food insecurity issues. To help celebrate, please feel free to dress up as your favorite hero, whether it be Superman, or your favorite firefighter or military member, etc.

Participants can challenge themselves physically with the run, enjoy time with their families, and connect with the DCCCD community and partners. This event is also an opportunity for participants and first responders to build camaraderie in the spirit of community. First responders and military personnel will be able to share their experiences and provide information for safety first to the community.

• Each runner will receive a run t-shirt and a raffle ticket.
• First responders and military personnel will receive special recognition for their participation in this event.

INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION - Age 13 and above
Discounted registration until June 14, 2019 is only $25.
After June 14, registration will increase to $35.

CHILDREN REGISTRATION - Age 12 and under
This is a family event, so please register your child to run with you. The price for children 12 years of age and under is only $10; children 13 and older will pay the regular individual registration fee.

TEAM REGISTRATION - Minimum of 4 people on team
Do you want to run with a group of friends? Team registration is available. Teams are required to have a minimum of four runners/registrants.
Team members/registrants receive a $5 discount on their registration.
Price per member is $20/person through June 14 and $30/person after June 14.

PACKET PICKUP
Friday, June 21 between 3-7pm in front of the C Building at Eastfield College, 3737 Motley Drive, Mesquite 75150; 
OR the day of the race between 7:30-8 a.m. at the onsite registration/packet pick-up booth.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the top three in each category.

• Female
• Team (consisting of average time for the first four runners to cross the finish line)

• Firetrucks and a fire hose for children's fire safety lessons
