General Information

Kick off Your Heels and grab Your Sneakers will be a local run or walk 5K or 10K that will work to raise funds to pay off meal balances for children at schools in the Augusta, GA area. Depending on how much we raise will determine how many balances we can pay off! Cash donations will be accepted at packet pickup or race day only.

Come join Run the Tangents Timing on May 4, 2024 at 8:00 a.m. to give thanks through running and giving back to the community!

Please note that there are no refunds and there will be a 30 minute weather delay (if needed).

START/FINISH
The 5k and 10K will start and finish at 121 Hammonds Ferry Rd. North Augusta, SC 29841 (Meet at the North Augusta Hammond's Ferry Soccer Complex) and will be on the Greenway.

REGISTRATION & PACKET PICKUP
Online registration will remain open right up until 5 minutes before race time. Race shirts are guaranteed to everyone who registers by April 4, 2024. Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis. Packet pickup will be posted once confirmed.

Registration prices

5K or 10K without a shirt are $20 through race day
5K with a shirt is $25 through 1/15/2024, $30 through 04/04/2024 and $35 through race day
10K with a shirt is $30 through 1/15/2024, $35 through 04/04/2024 and $40 through race day

Note: All runners who register by April 4, 2024 will be guaranteed to receive an official race shirt! Extra shirts (if any) will be distributed on a first come-first serve basis until they are gone.

Age Groups and Awards
Age Groups are 14 and Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 - 79, and 80 + male and female plus top 3 overall. Awards will be determined closer to the event date. Chip Timed with awards based on Gun Times.

Parking
Parking will be available at the Hammond's Ferry Soccer Complex (121 Hammonds Ferry Rd. North Augusta, SC 29841).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
(1) No refunds.
(2) Shirts will be ordered on April 4, 2024 and those that register after this date are not guaranteed a shirt.
(3) Pickup will be determined.
(4) WE WILL HAVE WATER ON THE COURSE at each turn around point.
(5) Complete results will be posted online by 3 p.m. day of the race.
(6) Please note that if needed there will be a 30 minutes weather delay for the start of the race.
