5K Road Race to Raise Awareness for Childhood Obesity hosted by the Department of Children and Families in conjunction with the Meriden YMCA
Join us on June 14, 2014 for a 5K run to help raise awareness for childhood obesity. This fun day is a great chance for the entire family to come out and celebrate health and fitness! In addition to the 5K there will be an untimed 1 Mile Fitness Walk/Run to encourage everyone to give it a try. Don't miss out on the all fun and fitness plus an event t-shirt!
ALL PARTICIPANTS UNDER 18 YRS OLD RUN FOR FREE!!
The 5K will start and finish at the Meriden YMCA's Mountain Mist Outdoor Center.
Race starts at 9:30 am. On-site check-in and registration will open at 8:30 am.
Awards will be given for the Top Male and Female Overall as well as the Top 3 Males and Females in the following age groups: 14 & U, 15 - 19, 20 - 29, 30 - 39, 40 - 49, 50 - 59 and 60+
Registration fees:
5K Adult (18+) - $20.00
1 Mile Adult (18+) - $10.00
5K Youth (Under 18) - FREE
1 Mile Youth (Under 18) - FREE
Please note that dogs and strollers are NOT permitted on course.
