The Addiction Awareness & Recovery 5K Walk/Run at the Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton is co-hosted by JUST of DuPage, Linden Oaks at Edward, and West Suburban Fellowship Club. This exciting community wellness event on September 19, 2015 will start at 10:00 AM
The intention is to bring awareness to the disease of addiction that we face in our communities as well as celebrate the joy of living a life of recovery and wellness. Please save the date and plan on attending as a participant or event volunteer.
Registration Information:
Cost for 5k Run / Walk = $40
Cost for Kid's Fun Run = $20
• Trail style course through woodlands, meadows, and fields
- Danada Forest Preserve in Wheaton
• Come out to raise awareness for addiction and support those in recovery
• Competitive/novice runners and walkers welcome - Includes a chip and ability to track results on this website.
• Includes high quality (active material) T-shirt for 5K Walk/Run
• We will also host a kids fun run after the 5k ($20 registration) which will include a T-Shirt
• A single raffle ticket will also be included for each 5k registration
RUN/WALK AGENDA:
8:00 - 9:30 a.m. - Packet pickup and same day registration***
10:00 a.m. - Run/walk starts
11:15 a.m. - Kids Fun Run
11:30 a.m. - Ceremony, Refreshments, and celebration
***SHIRTS ARE FIRST COME FIRST SERVE - please arrive onsite on race day to get your shirt and bib ready.
