Scenic and interesting covering the downtown old Livermore residential districts south to the vineyards and back to Carnegie Park.
Halloween is a time for people to buy candy and dress up in their most elaborate and creative costumes. Livermore Rotary is getting into the spirit too with a costumed fun run. Come do the Monster Dash at the upcoming Rotary Community Spirit 5K Run. Share in the fun wearing your scariest or silliest Halloween costumes (or comes as yourself!) to this locally sponsored charity event. This race has something for everyone. Children will receive prizes for best costumes, and most “unique finish”. All registrants receive Goodie bags, a race T-shirt and post race hot apple cider and hot chocolate.
Runners and walkers of all ages and abilities are welcome to participate in this Spooktacular 5K event. Registrants will be officially chip timed and kids will be “photo finished”. All you need to do is wear your favorite costume, put on a pair of freaker-sneakers, and sign up on-line to register. Registration is also available the day of the race. If you would like to participate but can’t run, you may also volunteer.
Proceeds from the Spirit Fun Run will go directly to Livermore Schools. The race starts at 9a.m. on October 24th at the Rotary Bandstand at Carnegie Park, 2155 Third St. in downtown Livermore. So grab some friends, co-workers, or family members and do the Boo-Run-Run-Run to raise money for Livermore Schools.
