Earn your turkey dinner with a 3-, 6- or 9- mile family friendly run on Thanksgiving morning.

The annual Big Bear Turkey Trot is a family friendly run held on Thanksgiving morning in the beautiful mountains of Big Bear Lake in Southern California. Choose from a 3, 6, or 9 mile run. A fun and festive venue with all three distance options on the same course make it easy for everybody to participate!

The Big Bear Turkey Trot is the signature event for Open Air Big Bear, an IRS-certified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The first 400 participants receive an event T-shirt and commemorative medal at the event. Proceeds from this event support local food banks, a youth running series and outdoor athletic events in the Big Bear Valley.

Come ready to have fun and dress in your best turkey, bear, autumn costume or ? We’ve got prizes for the best participant costumes and the fastest runners; awards include turkeys, cupcakes and freshly made local pies.

3-mile runners are treated to a yoga warm up routine from Colin Schour Yoga before the start of their race!

Starting times:
9 miles - 9:00 am
6 miles - 9:15 am
3 miles - 9:30 am

Registration Fees:
3 miles - $40
6 miles - $45 
9 miles - $50
Youth 5-17 - $25

Add $5 after October 15.
Add $10 after November 20
Same day registration will add $10 to the late registration fee - so sign up online early!

Online registration closes on Wednesday, November 27 at 3PM 

Locals save $5 through November 15. Show ID at Bib Pickup.

Bib Pickup will be held on Wednesday, November 27, 4-7pm (Location TBD)
