Are you in? Join us on Sat., April 8th for the Annual Hallie's Heroes 5K Family Fun Run & Walk at the South Lake Park in Denton, Texas.
Hallie Bea is a sweet, active, 8 year old with a rare blood disease called Diamond Blackfan Anemia (DBA). Hallie's bone marrow fails to produce essential red blood cells and she is alive today because of steroids and blood transfusions. The only cure for DBA is a bone marrow transplant.
With less than 800 children diagnosed with DBA, research is largely funded through fundraising by parents, family and friends.
Hallie’s Heroes was born in July of 2015. Using Hallie’s strength and courage as our example, it was decided to not just try to save Hallie, but also the 14,000 other people who are desperately waiting to find their matches as well. Hallie’s Heroes’ mission is to raise money to fund research to find a cure for DBA, to educate and advocate, and to host bone marrow drives in order to find matches for all patients.

Awards: Winners of each catagory will receive a special award from Hallie Bea and BRAGGING RIGHTS!
What to bring: ID, CC, Cash, your fastest running shoes and a big SMILE! :)
What to wear: dig out your best SUPER HERO costume and dust off your running capes for this event! All super heroes are welcome! And don't forget your pig tails - because PIGTAILS will SAVE the world!
